Georgia Dance Theatre Professional Company







Nichole O'Brien

Ms. O’Brien is in her 6th season as a Georgia Dance Theatre Professional Company member . She has trained with Georgia Academy of Dance & the Performing Arts for the past 17 years with 14 seasons as a Georgia Dance Theatre company member.  She has received additional training from the Rock School of the Pennsylvania Ballet where she was invited to stay for school year program, the American Ballet Theatre, the Montgomery Ballet on full scholarship, the South Carolina Summer Dance Conservatory, and the Atlanta Ballet Centre for Dance Education on full scholarship. 
She has performed leading roles in The Nutcracker Ballet, Don Quixote, Swan Lake, La Bayadere, Larry Pech’s Master of the Puppets, and Melony Tribble’s Samson and Delilah.  In 2001, Ms. O’Brien performed the lead roles of Sugar Plum Fairy and Snow Queen in Georgia Dance Theatre’s The Nutcracker Ballet, and in 2008, she performed the lead role of Constance in Sherri Davis’ original ballet, The Three Musketeers.

Ms. O’Brien’s training led to many professional opportunities including founding and directing the Thunder Girls Dance Team of the Southern Crescent Lighting, coaching the Junior Varsity Chiefettes Dance Team of McIntosh High School, and choreographing and performing for hip hop music videos in the Atlanta area.  Additionally, she has choreographed for the upcoming recording artist, Lindee Link, and her 2009 & 2010 national tour.  In 2007 and 2009, Ms. O’Brien also went to Austin, Texas to be a mentor for the American Ballet Theatre Summer Intensive.

Ms. O’Brien holds a degree from Emory University with a double major in political science and psychology with a minor in marketing and advertising.  She is currently a professional company member of Georgia Dance Theatre and the Hip Hop Director for GAD & the Performing Arts.

Jennifer Reynolds

Ms. Reynolds is in her 6th season as a Georgia Dance Theatre Professional Company member and she has trained with Georgia Academy of Dance & the Performing Arts for the past 19 years. She has been a member of Georgia Dance Theatre for the past 14 seasons. Ms. Reynolds has received additional training from American Ballet Theatre, Atlanta Ballet, Alvin Ailey American Dance Center, Burklyn Ballet Theatre and The Lines Ballet of California.
She has received apprenticeships with Alvin Ailey American Dance Center of New York and Lines Ballet of California.
Ms. Reynolds has been a guest performer with Burklyn Ballet Theatre as the company toured Edinburg, Scotland and was a member of the professional touring company
 of Angela Whitehill's Paradise Ballet Theatre.
In 2009, Ms. Reynolds danced the lead role as Snow Queen in Georgia Dance Theatre's Nutcracker Ballet with American Ballet Theatre's Gray Davis
as her Snow King.
Ms. Reynolds will be dancing the lead role of Swanilda in this year's
production of Coppelia.
Ms. Reynolds is a current member of
  Georgia Dance Theatre Professional Company and dance educator at Georgia Academy of Dance
& the Performing Arts.

 

 

 

Jennifer Ritorto

Jennifer Ritorto received her early training at the Academy of Ballet Arts in Marietta, GA and then went on to the University of Georgia where she graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics and a Minor in Dance.   At UGA, she danced with companies such as Dancefx, UGA’s Ballet Ensemble, and Core Concert Dance Company.  She continued her dance education with such well-know companies as Broadway Theatre Project, Pointe Park Intensive, and Charleston Ballet Theatre.  She went on to dance with other prestigious dance companies such as Houston Metropolitan Dance Company, Sideways Contemporary Dance Company, and now currently with Georgia Dance Theatre.   She works for Ameriprise Financial as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ helping families and individuals plan for their financial goals.  When she is not dancing or planning, she enjoys spending her free time with her dog, Snickers. Jenna Sagraves


Ms. Sagraves began her ballet training at the Terre Haute Academy of Dance and continued in Indianapolis at Ballet Internationale and Russian Ballet Academy of Indiana. She attended summer intensive programs with Boston Ballet, Cincinnati Ballet and the Atlanta Ballet. She has trained with Violette Verdy, Irina Kolpakova, Michael Vernon, Jacques Cesbron, Vladilen Seminov, and Tatiana Pali, among others. Jenna was a Ballet Major and Faculty Merit Scholarship recipient at Indiana University, shere whe danced numberous roles with IU Ballet Theater, including the lead in a re-staging Le Spectre de la Rose and Sugar Plum Fairy in the Nutcracker. As a 2008-09 Atlanta Ballet Fellowship Dancer she performed the role of
Snow White in the Family Series Production.
Ms. Sagraves is in her first season as a professional company member of Georgia Dance Theatre and a dance educator with
Georgia Academy of Dance & the Performing Arts.

 

Becky Simmons

Ms. Simmons is in her first season as a professional company member of Georgia Dance Theatre. She most recently played a Follies Girl in Will Rogers Follies, a napkin in Beauty and the Beast, was Chastity in Anything Goes, and was an Indian in Peter Pan  with Regional Theatre, The Atlanta Lyric Theatre. She most recently did a Nat'l tour in China as a magicians assistant and a dancer for the second time. She has been performing as a magicians assistant for over 10 years. A graduate of the University of Alabama with a BA on dance, she was involved with Dance Alabama and Alabama Repertory Dance Theatre, the pre-professional company at the University. She is represented by Real People models and talent.  Becky performs with Stella Entertainment, Bacchus, and Entertainment Design Group.  Becky is enjoying teaching dance at Atlanta Ballet and Praise Him with Dance. Rachel Truitt

Ms. Truitt received her training from Woodstock School of Ballet, Ballet Magnificent, Dance 101 and the Atlanta Ballet Centre for Dance Education.
She has been a contemporary and Early Childhood Educator in the Atlanta are for many years. Ms. Truitt is a guest choreographer for Mainstream Dance Company.
Roles include performances of the Nutcracker Ballet, Choreography Showcase Adumbration by various professional choreographers and guest appearances throughout the Atlanta area. Ms. Truitt is a gifted violinist - trained by Jay Christy - Principal Second Chair of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.
This is Ms. Truitt's first season as a professional company member of
Georgia Dance Theatre. Ms. Truitt is a dance educator in the contemporary and early childhood programs for Georgia Academy of Dance & the Performing Arts.

 

Brianne Wesolowksi

Ms. Wesolowski is in her 4th season as a Georgia Dance Theatre professional company member. She received her dance training at Georgia Academy of Dance & the Performing Arts for the past 20 years with 12 seasons as a Georgia Dance Theatre Pre-Professional Company member. She received additional training from Houston Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Burklyn Ballet Theatre on scholarship and Milwaukee Ballet on scholarship. After completing Milwaukee Ballet’s summer intensive, Ms. Wesolowski was invited to join their prestigious second company, Milwaukee Ballet II under the direction of Michael Pink.
Ms. Wesolowski has performed the leading roles in
Swan Lake, the Nutcracker,
A Midsummer Night’s Dream
, Melony Tribble’s Swallowed Up, Burklyn Ballet Theatre’s Graduation Ball, and Nadia Thompson’s Grande Tarantella
In 2009, she performed the role of Sugar Plum Fairy with
GDT alumnus and American Ballet Theatre guest Gray Davis.
Ms. Wesolowski is currently pursuing her History degree at Georgia State University on full academic scholarship.

Ms. Wesolowski is a dance educator at Georgia Academy of Dance
& the Performing Arts.
