Georgia Academy of Dance & the Performing Arts
Dance Policies

Our Mission is to provide an atmosphere where the dancer can discover the artist within.
We use positive correction and provide a positive classroom for each dancer to thrive in.

The following is a list of information and policies for each
Georgia Academy of Dance & the Performing Arts Student:

1. Classroom Etiquette - Students must be on time for class. Students must adhere to all class requirements set forth by teacher. Students must follow all dress code requirements. No gum, food or drink (except water bottle) is allowed in the studios

2. Monthly Tuition -Tuition is due by the 15th of each month. A $10.00 late fee will be assessed on the 16thof each month if tuition is not paid by the 15th. Statements are not sent out. Tuition is based on a yearly fee for the total classes provided and not on the number of classes per month. Allowances have been made for holidays. Tuition is paid thru the 1st week of June for all students. A 10% discount will be applied (in the month of August only) for yearly tuition paid in full. If student withdraws before the end of season the 10% discount will not be applied for the refund.
Students are guaranteed a minimum of 36 times of instruction per season – from August thru 1st week of June. Instruction includes classes and any additional rehearsals including dress rehearsals.
June pro-rated tuition is due with May tuition – as we will not distribute costumes until all tuition is paid in full. Costumes are distributed mid May.
Note – we do not automatically set up recurring payment system. Parents must go online or call office personnel to set up recurring payment system.
Our online payment system is a secure site. Please do not send credit card information via email.
Input your credit info directly into the secure site or have office personnel do so. GAD cannot access your credit card information once it is input into the secure site.
Visa or Mastercard Credit or Debit cards may be used.
To make online payments – go to www.gadance.com – click on Tuition Payments – click on correct studio location – input email – input password (or if you do not have one – click on Forgot Password – the system will send you a confidential password – that you may change)
You will always receive an email confirmation on online payments made.

3. Absences - Students can make up classes missed during the same month of absence. No refund will be given for classes missed.

4. Withdrawal from a class must be done in writing 30 days before actual withdrawal date. Charges will continue to be accessed until withdrawal form is completed and signed. If student withdraws in middle of the year and returns within that same dance/music/drama season, then a $25.00 re-enrollment fee will be charged. Re-enrollment is not allowed after February.
Withdrawal forms are at front desk – or send email to info@gadance.com – attention Sherri Davis
You will receive a response – if you do not receive a response we did not receive the email.
If your child is not having a positive experience at GAD please communicate with Director, Sherri Davis – it is our goal to produce healthy, happy, educated dancers!
