Musical Theatre & Theatre Dance
Musical Theatre & Theatre Dance Classes in Peachtree City and Newnan, Georgia
Georgia Academy of Dance & the Performing Arts offers a combined Theatre and Dance Program led by professional instructors of GAD & the Performing Arts and will incorporate the fundamentals and requirements needed for middle and high school theatre departments including dance instruction in tap, jazz, and overall jazz movement. More specifically, the class will provide dance styles from Broadway to Contemporary including hip hop and jazz technique to increase mobility and choreography knowledge.
This program is designed to teach students a complete and versatile blend of dance movement with specific regard to musical theatre and drama. Students who participate in this program will feel confident and comfortable auditioning for and being involved in any theatre and drama production. They will know what kind of dance movement to expect and how to leverage their singing, acting, and dancing skills effectively on stage and in auditions.
Established theatre and drama programs need professional dance instruction, training, and choreography throughout the year in order for the department to perform well, collectively improve as a group, and place well at all theatre competitions.
