Kym Bushmire is the Chief Operations Director of the Academy & The Dancer's Boutique. A Georgia Dance Theatre alumna, Ms. Bushmire received her dance training from Georgia Academy of Dance & the Performing Arts, Kris Cangelosi Dance Project, Georgia State University and the LaFayette Society of the Arts.
Ms. Bushmire's extensive experience and unwavering dedication to the Georgia Academy of Dance & the Performing Arts, as well as the broader arts community, truly exemplify her profound impact in fostering creativity and artistic development. With a versatile portfolio that includes guest choreography for esteemed organizations such as Georgia Dance Theatre and the Sinfonicron Light Opera Company, alongside her performances with the Cangelosi Dance Project and at the Centennial Olympic Games Opening Ceremonies, Ms. Bushmire has not only showcased her artistic prowess but has also inspired countless young artists through her teaching over ten seasons at the Academy. Ms. Bushmire has held several leadership roles with the Academy, which have included Production Coordinator and Associate Director, which all positions highlight her pivotal influence on the Academy's growth.

Gabby Marques is an award- winning choreographer for various companies and a former professional contemporary dancer with such companies as Alchemy Dance Company out of Philadelphia.
She has trained in the Gala Hooks Method and Gaga Intensives out of New York and been a part of the Emanuel Gat Creative Workshop of Montpelier, France.
Ms. Marques danced with the Centre National de la Danse of Paris and was a part of the Ballet Preljocaj Apprenticeship Program in Aix en Provence, France.
In addition, she was a scholarship recipient for various dance programs including Focal Point Dance and Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida.
Ms. Marques has worked with various well-known and award-winning choreographers such as the 2019-20 Emerge Choreographic Award Winner Mark Caserta, Tommie Waheed, Mark Haim, Doug Varone, and Sharon Eyal.
Ms. Marques was a member of the Tae Talent Agency and a Green Mile contestant for So You Think You Can Dance.

Alison Caspersen grew up in Edwards, Colorado and began her training at Vail Valley Academy of Dance under the direction of Anne Powell and Karen Samuelson. She received additional training from The Rock School for Dance Education of Pennsylvania, Milwaukee Ballet, Cincinnati Ballet, Washington Ballet, and Kaatsbaan. In addition, Ms. Caspersen was part of the Helen Pickett Choreographic Essentials Workshop in 2014.
Ms. Caspersen received professional trainee status with Ballet Austin and performed with the company in The Nutcracker, choreographed by Artistic Director Stephen Mills. Ms. Caspersen continued her training with Atlanta Ballet as both a Conservatory dancer and contracted Fellowship artist. She has performed in Atlanta Ballet’s Nutcracker and Pinnochio and danced the featured role of the Evil Queen in Snow White.
Ms. Caspersen taught Early Childhood, Ballet and Contemporary classes at the Atlanta Ballet Centre for Dance Education and as a ballet educator at Ballet Austin.
Ms. Caspersen was a Leading Artist for seven seasons of Georgia Dance Theatre professional company. She is currently a guest artist for the company.

Jennifer Pedraza began her dance training at the Conservatorio de Ballet Concierto of Puerto Rico under the direction of Carlota Carrera. She attended summer programs at Joffrey Ballet School, the New York Dance Project and with the National Ballet of Cuba – originally founded by legendary ballerina Alicia Alonso.
Ms. Pedraza was honored to perform as a trainee member of her beloved Ballet Concierto de Puerto Rico under the direction of Carlos Cabrera in such esteemed artistic works as Alberto Méndez’s Phantom of the Opera, Isadora Bruno’s Latin Suite, Jimmy Gammonet’s Pico Rico Mandorico, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Bach in Three Movements, La Vivandiere, Don Quixote and The Nutcracker Ballet with soloists and demi-soloist roles, Coppelia, Swan Lake and Napoli.
Ms. Pedraza also danced with the New York Dance Project under the direction of Artistic Director Davis Robertson. She had the incredible opportunity to perform legendary choreographer Gerald Arpino’s work of Viva Vivaldi and Birthday variations as a soloist. In addition, she performed original works by Stage Directors & Choreographers Foundation Award recipient and famed Broadway choreographer Larry Keigwin. Ms. Pedraza has also been honored to showcase works by Tyler Gilstrap and New York Dance Project’s Artistic Director Davis Robertson.
As a Leading Artist of the professional company of Georgia Dance Theatre, Ms. Pedraza has danced such lead roles as Kitri in Georgia Academy of Dance & the Performing Arts' production of Don Quixote and Snow Queen, Pastilles, Shepherdess, Harlequin soloist, Arabian, & Spanish in Georgia Dance Theatre's Nutcracker Ballet. In June 2023, Ms. Pedraza danced the lead role of Stepsister in Georgia Academy of Dance & the Performing Arts' production of Cinderella.

Abigail Boivin received her training from Atlanta Ballet and Mainstream Dance under the direction of Jaime Robtison. She has received additional training and scholarships from prestigious programs such as the School of American Ballet, Miami City Ballet, Rock School of Ballet, and the Covington Regional Ballet.
Ms. Boivin has danced various roles in Atlanta Ballet’s Nutcracker Ballet and had the privilege of dancing the lead role of Sophie in Twyla Tharpe’s world premiere of the Princess and the Goblin. In addition, Ms. Boivin performed in Terminus Modern Ballet Theatre’s “Italian Symphony” by Martha Goodman and Terminus Modern Ballet Theatre’s “Gust” by Tara Lee and “A step in three” by Heath Gill.
As a Leading Artist of Georgia Dance Theatre professional company, Ms. Boivin has danced principal roles, such as Clara, Dewdrop, and Arabian in Georgia Dance Theatre's production of The Nutcracker Ballet. Ariana Serrano received her ballet training in the Vaganova syllabus from Perm State Ballet under the direction of Russian's premier ballet teacher Olga Tozyiakova. She received additional dance training from Wilmington Ballet Company, State Street Ballet, Texas Ballet Theater, and the US International Ballet Company.
Along with her training in Classical Ballet, Ms. Serrano received training in Modern and Batsheva Repertoire from Hubbard Street Dance and Jazz and Flamenco from the Los Angeles Ballet. While receiving her dance education, Ms. Serrano had the special honor of performing at the International Ballet Festival (Tanzolymp) in Berlin and the Youth American Grand Prix where she was placed in the top 24 Senior Women's Classical Category.
While at the US International Ballet Company and the State Street Ballet, Ms. Serrano had the opportunity to be mentored by celebrated artists of dance such as Walter Angelini (LaScala Ballet School), Jonhal Fernandez, Rona Olarte, Ana Leyte, Javier Sanchez (National Ballet of Cuba), Kara Wilkes (Lines Ballet),
Debra Berger (New York City Ballet, Luigi Jazz Master Teacher), and Christina Sanchez (Alvin Ailey School).
As a Dance Educator, Ms. Serrano has extensive experience in all levels and styles of dance, including private coaching. Ms. Serrano's love of the arts expands into theater, as she has extensive training and stage performance in singing and acting. And beyond the arts, Ms. Serrano has been an educator in gymnastics with emphasis on stationary gymnastics and bar and beam exercises.
As 1st Soloist of the professional company of the US International Ballet Company, Ms. Serrano has performed principal roles in US International Ballet's productions of Giselle, Don Quixote, Midsummer Night's Dream, Nutcracker Ballet, and various contemporary works.
Ms. Serrano is a leading artist for the professional company of Georgia Dance Theatre and Dance Educator of multiple disciplines at Georgia Academy of Dance & the Performing Arts. For the 23-24 season, Ms. Serrano performed the lead role of Lise' in Sherri Davis' original ballet, An American in Paris.

Debora Greer started her classical training at age 10 in Brazil. At age 19, Ms. Greer attended a Summer Intensive Program at Ballet Chicago and while there, she auditioned for Chicago Ballet Arts and was offered a full scholarship to study for a year under Patti Eyar. That same year, Ms. Greer was offered a partial scholarship to attend Joffrey Ballet Chicago Summer Intensive and enrolled as a trainee student at Joffrey Ballet New York with a partial scholarship, in the year following. This was succeeded by a merit scholarship, where Ms. Greer studied under Era Jouravlev for two years. At Joffrey Ballet, Ms. Greer danced with Homo Veritas Dance and was a guest dancer with Eglevisky Ballet. Ms. Greer has supplemental training in the anatomy for dancers, dance history, and the art of teaching ballet and dance from Joffrey Ballet of New York.

As a Dance Educator of over a decade, Ms. Greer has taught ballet, pointe, variations, lyrical, choreography, pointe and modern dance. Ms. Greer has been a private coach for YAGP and DC Grand Prix, with her students placing multiple times through classical and contemporary variations that she choreographed and rehearsed.
Ms. Greer is a leading artist for the professional company of Georgia Dance Theatre.

Ms. Greer also served as choreographer for MBT, contributing to the company repertory with: Ties in Between Us, Jazz in Motion, During the Evening, A Letter to Maria, and Memories and Remembrance. In 2023, Memories and Remembrance was also presented at the Koresh Dance Artist Showcase in Philadelphia.
As a Dance Educator of over a decade, Ms. Greer has taught ballet, pointe, variations, lyrical, choreography, pointe and modern dance. Ms. Greer has been a private coach for YAGP and DC Grand Prix, with her students placing multiple times through classical and contemporary variations that she choreographed and rehearsed.
Ms. Greer is a leading artist for the professional company of Georgia Dance Theatre.

Her early experiences with the Georgia Dance Theatre laid a strong foundation for her passion, which blossomed into a successful 16-year career in All-Star Cheer coaching. Under her guidance, students have achieved remarkable accolades at prestigious events such as the All-Level Championships and Cheersport Nationals, showcasing the excellence that the Academy cultivates. Ms. Allen's commitment to creating a nurturing and positive atmosphere in her cheer dance classes not only fosters creativity but also builds self-esteem
among her students.
In her dual role as a School Counselor at Atkinson Elementary School, she embodies the holistic approach to education that the academy champions, emphasizing the balance between personal growth and artistic development.

Hayden Gittner, a native of O'Fallon, Illinois, started his ballet training in the Cecchetti Method under the guidance of Elizabeth Conway. He further honed his skills at the Cecchetti Council of America's International Summer School. Gittner's exceptional talent and hard work were recognized in the dance community when he was featured in Dance Studio Life magazine's January 2018 issue. He was highlighted as one of the two American males in the past ten years to successfully pass Grade VII and obtain his Advanced Professional Certificate in the Cecchetti Method.
In addition to his ballet training, Mr. Gittner also delved into the world of tap dancing. Under the direction of Sonya Doerr, he received eleven years of tap instruction, further developing his skills and passion for the art form.
During his time in college, Mr. Gittner became part of the student-led Notre Dame Dance Company. Over the course of five years, he honed his tap skills even further and had the opportunity to collaborate with fellow dancers, choreograph original pieces, and perform alongside Lulu Romero from the renowned Reverb Tap Company in Los Angeles.
Mr. Gittner's creativity and love for the arts extend beyond his ballet and tap training. He had the honor of performing the professional role of Cavalier in his hometown's production of The Nutcracker, highlighting his talent and skill on stage.
Beyond dance, Mr. Gittner has acquired training and professional production experience in both sound and lighting design. This experience has given him a comprehensive understanding of the technical aspects of performance and the ability to create immersive and visually captivating experiences through lighting and sound.
Outside of his dance and technical training, Mr. Gittner also spent five years playing the sousaphone and marching with the Band of the Fighting Irish. This prestigious band allowed him the opportunity to perform at high-profile events such as ESPN's College Game Day, Disney World parades, and various bowl games including the Cotton Bowl, Camping World Bowl, Sun Bowl, and Gator Bowl. He also participated in Shamrock Series Exhibitions at iconic venues such as Yankee Stadium, Chicago's Soldier Field, and Las Vegas' Allegiant Stadium.
With his diverse training and experience in ballet, tap, and production, Mr. Gittner brings a unique perspective to his teaching, and he is dedicated to providing a well-rounded dance education to his students. He is grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the Georgia Academy of Dance & the Performing Arts community and is excited for what the future holds.

Dr. Meghan Elizabeth Morales earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. With a desire to blend her two passions of dance and physical therapy, Meghan completed an internship/ clinical rotation at Agile Physical Therapy in 2014. With her eye for proper dance technique complemented by her extensive knowledge of biomechanics and anatomy, Meghan is an asset to dance students and professionals rehabilitating from injury, preventing future injury, and promoting the longevity of their careers.
Meghan focuses on movement analysis, body mechanics, and a hands-on-approach. She has helped patients rehabilitate from stroke, brain and spinal cord injury, trauma, amputation, and other neurological impairments. She has helped patients of all levels with a diversity of neuromuscular and orthopedic conditions. She utilizes Pilates in her physical therapy practice and specializes in using it with all orthopedic injuries, including her specialty of dance medicine. She is currently employed full time at First Step Physical Therapy in Fayetteville.
Ms. Morales trained at Georgia Academy of Dance & the Performing Arts for 15 years. She was under scholarship for 8 seasons with Georgia Dance Theatre. She received additional training from the Atlanta Ballet, the Milwaukee Ballet, Kaatsbaan Extreme Ballet, The Rock School of the Pennsylvania Ballet, the American Ballet Theatre, and the South Carolina Summer Dance Conservatory. In 2007, Ms. Morales was chosen for the Atlanta Ballet Professional Ballet Intensive where she was featured in Graduation Ball , a pas de deux staged by Jose Vieira, and Vivaldi Violin Concerto choreographed by Roger Van Fleteren.
Ms. Morales has danced various soloist and principal roles as a Georgia Dance Theatre company member. She continued her dance training on scholarship at Birmingham Southern College where she holds dual degrees—Bachelor of Science in Biology /Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Dance. While part of the Birmingham Southern College Dance Department Meghan appeared as a Guest Artist in the Montgomery Ballet’s production of Le Corsaire. Additionally, she choreographed and performed in a piece selected for the Alabama Dance Festival.
Dr. Meghan has recently decided to pursue Pilates instructor certification through Balance Body leading to a PMA® Certified Pilates Teacher certification. As a dancer and physical therapist, Dr. Meghan has special knowledge of the specific issues of dancers and performers and how to adapt to their needs within the Pilates environment. She has developed an approach that addresses preventative, restorative, and maintenance based Pilates.
