Arts In Education
Georgia Dance Theatre plays a vital role in enriching lives within our community through our Arts In Education community outreach programs.
Our programs serve the community by providing valuable arts experiences and quality dance training to children and families of all ages, abilities, and socio-economic levels. Each of our programs strives to enlighten and educate children on the beauty and benefits of dance. These programs cultivate a love for the arts, while encouraging creative thinking, problem solving, athleticism, and healthy life styles.

Mentorship/ Workstudy Program
Georgia Dance Theatre professional company members assist in partnership with the Fayette County Board of Education and the Coweta County Board of Education in providing opportunities for leadership development to high school students. This program offers a higher level of arts education by enhancing skill development as students intermingle with professionals in the field. If students are interested in participating in this Mentorship program contact Artistic Director Sherri Davis at sherri@gadance.com.
In addition, we strongly support various private online learning applications which provide a positive learning experience for our youth.
Dance Without Limits . . .
Classes for Special Needs Children This program was created solely for the special needs children of our community to give them an outlet to move freely with creative movement, dance, and coordination skills. We offer Dance Without LImits free to the community as a part of our outreach to give back to our community. This class is located in a dance environment where the dance curriculum is modified so the children could gain the most from the class in a positive, nurturing environment. Classes are led by our professional dance educators and professional company members of Georgia Dance Theatre. |
